Sudili Peiris - VIC to Germany

Sudili Peiris, from Ashburton VIC recently came back from a 3 month Summer Explorer program to Germany. She says she came back a changed person as outlined in her retrospective look at her experience below:
“Germany was lovely! I really had the time of my life there and I'm sure I made quite a few friends-for-life over there! I was very happy with my experience in Germany. I learned so much and can now speak German to boot.
I did so many new things in Germany: I played Hockey, learned how to ride a horse, learned how to ski, saw a whole heap of snow (and experienced minus degrees for the very first time), and did work experience for a whole week at a kindergarten as well as in a physiotherapy-clinic. We even went to France and Switzerland a couple of times as well. And that’s only a few of the experiences I had!
I've also come back to Melbourne wiser, with a brand new frame of mind, and with broader horizons! Stepping out of my little square in Melbourne was a great decision and I thank you (SEA) for facilitating that!
Actually, a friend that I made in Germany is staying with us for a week at the moment and I'm showing him the sights and sounds of Melbourne! And my host sister will be coming to visit and stay with us for a few weeks later this year. I'm thinking of going on exchange to Germany once more (no, I haven't had enough of it!) for a whole semester as an exchange student through my university. We'll see how that goes!”
