SEA 2009 Photo Competition Winners

Student Exchange Australia is delighted to announce the winners of the SEA Photo Competition for 2009. The competition was open to students who are currently on exchange and also those who have recently returned from the exchange programs.

The standard of the photos was particularly high this year and a big thank you must go out to everyone who participated.

The Top 3 are as follows:

First Place

First Place is awarded to Rachel Vlastuin. Rachel submitted a number of high quality pics but the one which was selected as the best was ‘Girls on a pier’. She explained: “This photo was of two of my friends Dana and Lexi from Canada, with Nadine, another exchange student from Germany, and me from Australia on our school canoe trip. Best friends forever!”

Second Place

Second place goes to Sinead Fogarty for her photo titled ‘Quebec’. This photo is about “Celebrating 'Le Fete Nationale Du Quebec' (Quebec Day) at Montreal's Park Masionneuve with my host sisters.”

Third Place

Third Place is Awarded to Simone Hill for her photo titled 'le cheval'. Simone explained to us that the photo came from her final night in France and was taken with her host siblings Eléa and Killian. She said "Apparently I made a fantastic ‘Cheval’ (Horse).”

The Top 3 photos will appear in our new brochure for 2010-11 which is currently being designed. These photos, as well as several others that were entered in the comp, will also appear on our website and in newsletters over the coming months.
