Coordinator Training Weekend

Community Coordinators from around Australia gathered recently in Sydney for a 3 day training workshop. The workshop was a chance for Coordinators to meet their counterparts from around the country and to gain useful updates on their role and responsibilities.
National Director, Nick Lorentzen, said “It was a genuine pleasure to bring this group together and to share our experience of student exchange. The workshop underlines our commitment to the training and development of our coordinators”.
Attendees reviewed a wide range of issues including:
- Role and responsibilities of Coordinators
- Student Supervision
- Problem resolution
- Placing Students
- Administration
Suggested improvements to work practices were also discussed.
Feedback on the weekend was unanimously positive and included the following comments:

- "great workshop, very informative, fantastic to meet other colleagues"
- "this was an overwhelmingly beneficial weekend"
