Life is very different for Lyla in Italy. After only being with her host family for three weeks, she has had to adapt to a different way of living. Italians love an afternoon siesta, school on Saturday and staying up later in the evening. Lyla comments about her host family, "my host family and friends of my host sister, both in and out of school, are lovely. Whilst my Italian needs alot of practice, my host family are more than happy to help me out. At first it was super hard to understand full (and fast) sentences, but now only after three weeks, I can understand much more".
Here is a picture of Lyla enjoying a family visit to the mountains with her host sister.
